4. John’s Wort – Widely known for its ability to treat minor depression, St. John’s wort also helps fight inflammation. Apply it to the skin to naturally relieve symptoms of eczema and other skin conditions.
5. Echinacea – This popular garden perennial is a great immune booster and said to shorten the duration of common colds. Drink it in your tea with peppermint and lemongrass for a tasty concoction any time of year.
6. Garlic – Ease the pain of a bee sting by crushing a raw garlic clove, rubbing it over the sting, and covering it with a bandage.
7. Bay Leaf – In addition to their use in many recipes, bay leaves can help relieve headaches and migraines. So instead of popping pills, make tea from bay leaves and feel the pain melt away.
