You know how it’s often said: “There are two kinds of people in the world”? Well, we have our own version of “two kinds”:
- Those who prefer to prevent problems.
- Or, those who leave well enough alone and then act when well enough becomes bad enough.
Which camp are you in? Well, if you’re in camp #2 but hate dealing with a Prevent Clogged Drains – especially the kind you need to pay someone to fix – you’ll soon be in the other.
For starters, there are numerous ways you can prevent clogged drains and toilets. These include:
- Don’t pour FOG (Fat, Oil, and Grease) down your kitchen sink drain. Instead, pore into a sealable container.
- Don’t user your garbage disposal to grind up large chunks of meat or meat bones.
- Other items to keep out of your disposal include fibrous food like onion peels and soft vegetables, potato peels, pasta, coffee grinds, and more.
- In the bathroom, the only thing you should flush is toilet paper and what it’s used for.
- Don’t plant trees or shrubs near your underground sewer pipes as roots can work their way inside and cause all sorts of problems.
- Keep hair and soap scum out of your bathroom drains.
The list is longer, but there’s plenty of opportunity already to start preventing annoying and potentially costly clogged drain problems.
Still, not all such problems are preventable. So, should trouble find its way to your home, call Norhio Plumbing for the right solution, right on time. We are drain cleaning experts with all the latest equipment to get the job done to your complete satisfaction.
