Established in 1973 by Herman and Eileen Bohinc, our family business is now celebrating 50 years of continuous service. That’s a “feel good” to us and the many customers who wouldn’t even think of calling a different plumbing company. To them, we really are “that good.”
About Us
A Few Words About the Bohinc Family
While no longer actively involved in the day-to-day operations of Norhio Plumbing, co-founder Herman Bohinc has carved out a legacy of successes and accomplishments that have earned him everlasting praise from peers and customers alike.
Licensed by the State of Ohio in plumbing, hydronics, and HVA, Herman is also state-certified in fire sprinklers and backflow prevention. He has held many positions over the years in state plumbing, HVAC, and construction associations, including the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of Ohio, Master Plumbers’ League of Cleveland, and the Associated Builders and Contractors of Northern Ohio.
Throughout his career, Herman and his wife Eileen have given back to the community through several charitable causes. They have worked with the local food pantry to help make sure families in need had Christmas gifts for their children. For over 20 years, they sponsored the annual “Celebration of Children” Picnic at Blossom Time in Chagrin Falls, an event that allows children with special needs to enjoy the fun and excitement of a carnival in a comforting setting.
Gary Bohinc is Norhio Plumbing’s Chief Operating Officer. He is a journeyman plumber who started his plumbing career in 1983 and is licensed by the State of Ohio in plumbing, hydronics, and HVAC. Gary also is certified by the State of Ohio to install and test fire sprinkler systems and is certified to test backflow prevention devices.
Michael Bohinc, Norhio Plumbing’s Chief Financial Officer, earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Bowling Green State University. Michael entered the family business full-time in 1988. Before that, he worked in the tax & financial planning department of an international accounting firm for 2 years.

It’s encouraging to reflecting on 50 years of active service throughout the Chagrin Valley and Western Reserve. But frankly, we’re more focused on the next 50 years and the promise they hold for continued success in helping our customers enjoy greater comfort, convenience, and safety.
